MY STORY
I know how personal a small business can be.
I grew up in New Hampshire watching my parents build a small business. I saw the long hours, sacrifices, uncertainty, and pride that came with owning something of your own.
I also saw that a business is often much more than a paycheck. It can be part of someone’s identity, family, and future. That experience is still at the heart of how I approach design.
I do not believe every business needs to look trendy or flashy. I believe every business already has a story worth telling. My role is to understand who you are, what makes you different, and help you communicate that clearly.
That is why I started The Hartford Edit: to make thoughtful branding and website design feel more personal, more understandable, and more connected to the people behind the work.
MY PHILOSOPHY
Art is about the artist. Design is about the viewer.
Good design is not about what I like. It is about helping the right people understand and trust your business.
I want the work to feel thoughtful and timeless, but also useful. It should make sense to the people you are trying to reach and feel true to the business you have built.
Whether you are a contractor, a family-owned business, a nonprofit, a startup, or a community organization, your context matters. There is no one-size-fits-all version of a good brand.
The best work starts with listening.
WORKING TOGETHER
A clear, welcoming process.
What can I expect from working together?
A collaborative, approachable, organized process with room for questions, feedback, and refinement. I want you to feel heard, understood, and confident in the direction we are taking.
